A bit about me

I've been described by colleagues and clients as being versatile, a safe pair of hands and a "f*cking good designer".

I'm a strong believer that the best design comes from collaboration and multiple perspectives all driving towards a shared goal.

I'm passionate about creating visual experiences that excite people. I'm currently spending a lot of time in 3D with Blender learning new ways to bring projects to life.

Springload

Since starting at Springload in 2013, Bron Thomson’s vision to make the things that matter better has resonated with me. It was incredible working with the highly talented team sharing this vision for almost 9 years.

I worked with a broad range of clients: ACC, Callaghan Innovation, CarbonClick, Inquisitive, Kiwibank, Kiwi Wealth, Klim Type Foundry, Massey University and NZ On Air to name a few.

Design lead (March 2021 - June 2022)

I drove the design effort across projects delivering human–centered design experiences for clients. I planned and estimated new business, and inspired design excellence across the agency.

I was a member of Springlabs, a dedicated team focused on self-driven projects with the potential to create positive impact. See Touchless and our highly accessible form builder Formally. Other responsibilities for my role included managing junior members of the design team, leading Springload’s internal design system initiative, and contributing to design ops, design documentation and design processes.

Open Lab

I worked at Open Lab for 6 months in December 2012 after completing my degree. I also worked at Open Lab during pilot phases of Open Lab in 2011 and 2012.

Junior designer (June 2011, July 2012, December 2012 - May 2013)

As junior designer I created concepts for print based campaigns and projects, worked on designs and presented back to clients.
